Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility and strengthening cross-sectoral partnership between corporate and charitable organisations has always been the mission embraced by the Caring Company Scheme. 3 Information and Sharing Sessions were organized on 7 Jun, 7 Jul u0026 9 Aug respectively. Speakers from different industries were invited to share their inspirations, with networking sessions for meeting friends to develop new partnership projects.

There is much talk about shared value and sustainability nowadays – addressing societal needs and supporting sustainable development, while also ensuring and strengthening the long-term future of a business. A study visit to Tokyo was organised and completed in March 2017 to know more about the innovative CSR initiatives and sustainable measures in some of the Japanese companies. After the study visit, the delegation would like to share their insights to inspire more talents of local companies and NGOs, so that they could also transform the ideas in Hong Kong.

More than 100 participants, including representatives from Caring Companies and NGOs joined the event. Delegates shared insights and observation among the 9 visited Japanese companies and had a fruitful conversation with the participants in the Session.

The Caring Company Partnership Expo 2017 was successfully held on 10 March 2017 (Friday) at Hall 1AB of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with over 4,000 participants from businesses and social services sectors, joining us to explore new community partnership opportunities and CSR solutions.

The award presentation ceremony began with the u002215th Anniversary of the Caring Company Scheme – Commemorative Videou0022, to highlight the work, development and achievement of the scheme over the past 15 years. Officiating guest Mr. CHAN Mo-po, Paul, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of HKSAR Government, presented awards to the winners of the Outstanding Partnership Project Award. In celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Caring Company Scheme, a group photo taking session was arranged for the awardees of 15 Consecutive Years Logo and the 15 Consecutive Years Nominator.

The Partnership Expo continued to promote and strengthen partnership between the business and social service sectors by providing platform for networking and exchange ideas. 120 exhibitors, coming from local NGOs and social enterprises exhibited with topic of social service, social enterprise or sustainability. All these elements have made this annual occasion become fruitful. It also enhanced mutual understanding and nurtured partnership between companies and social service organizations.
